Airports of Oman

Oman has two international gateways, Muscat (MCT) and Salalah (SLL), and regional airports at Sohar (OHS), Duqm (DQM) and Khasab (KHS), all managed by Oman Airports. Khasab is the practical way into the Musandam exclave without driving through the UAE.

Muscat International (MCT)

Oman's main airport, in Seeb at the western end of the capital area, roughly 30–35 km from Mutrah. The passenger terminal opened in 2018. Taxis, ride-hailing apps, Mwasalat buses and car rental desks serve the terminal.

Salalah (SLL)

A few kilometres from central Salalah. Several daily flights to Muscat plus regional services to the Gulf; demand peaks during the khareef season, when car hire and flights should be booked well ahead.

Khasab (KHS)

Domestic flights from Muscat are the only way to reach Musandam without crossing UAE territory. Schedules are limited and can change seasonally.

Masirah

The airfield on Masirah Island is a Royal Air Force of Oman base, not a regular civilian airport. Visitors reach the island by car ferry from Shannah.
